  BRIAN J. STEPHENS

 Chairman & CEO

Mr. Stephens began his real estate career over twenty years ago after graduating from the University of Georgia.  He received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a major in real estate from the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business in 1991.  After working for one of Atlanta’s most active land brokerage companies for several years and rising to Vice President, he started Stephens Capital Corporation, Inc. in 2002.

Mr. Stephens has focused on the sale and acquisition of land assets his entire career.  His knowledge and expertise in land has allowed him to gain a specialty niche in the real estate market.

Mr. Stephens has negotiated the sale or acquisition of all classifications of land. His knowledge and expertise with single-family and commercial land is extensive.  He has worked closely with several single family developers/builders to identify opportunities and has been selected to represent retail developers and end users for site acquisitions for the development of single and multi-tenant anchored centers.

Mr. Stephens has represented clients ranging from private land owners to institutional and national clients such as Wells Fargo Bank, Bank of America, SunTrust Bank, BB&T, Synovis/Bank of North Georgia, FDIC, First Citizens Bank/Ironstone Bank, Cherokee Bank, Gwinnett Federal Credit Union, Pulte Home Corporation, D.R. Horton, Bowen Family Homes, Duke Realty Corporation, Retail Planning Corp., Precision Tune, Inc. and others.

Mr. Stephens has been responsible for over $500 Million in land sales including over 3,600 single family lots and over 400 acres for commercial development.

Mr. Stephens is a member of the Council for Quality Growth, the Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors, the Commercial Million Dollar Club, Recipient of the Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors Phoenix Award, Recipient of the Julian LeCraw & Company’s Broker of the Year Award, and is a licensed broker with the Georgia Real Estate Commission.  Mr. Stephens also served as a member of the Woodruff Arts Center Real Estate Committee.
